In passing the Miss Ooh Lala store with my 4 year old girl, my gut feeling guided me inside to check it out. I was greeted by the super friendly owner while being submerged in the intended Princess and Fairytale Party vibe. We were surrounded with pretty dresses, girly shoes, ‘ooh lala’ type bags and of course glittery tiaras, all explored meticulously by my girl’s big blue eyes which in the process started glittering themselves.
We had a nice conversation which ended in us being invited to the store’s ‘Bloggers Evening’, including a mom & daughter pamper time special to truly experience their concept.
On the day of this event, my girl became highly excited realizing we were returning to the what she called ‘Princess’ store. From the moment we entered their magic worked wonders on Suri, while I had some time to enjoy the nicely done vintage interior design of the venue, mostly painted and created by the owners. The details from glittery floor, large chandelier, satin drapery curtains and painted wall hangings made me appreciate the effort and eye for detail. A girls childhood treasure box came to mind.
I was informed that the store’s packages include themes like Pajama-, Spa-, Fairytale-, Glow-, Petite Glam- and Ooh Lala Party. I loved the variety and the idea behind it, since their mission statement seems to be to make the kids shine and all visitors happy. During the event it became very clear that the staff gave 100% to the kids. Another great offering which spoke to me is the ‘Mommy & Me Paint event’, since I personally love to paint and know it’s a great way for moms to bond even more with their kids while being creative.
My little princess was guided to their royal fantasy themed makeup room which visibly awestruck Suri, who by now felt like any of her favorite princesses. This room also rocked a spa for feet and singing corner with stage. Everything was done to transport the kids minds to the happy places of fairytale stories. In the room the kids were met by a lady with long dark hair and flowers around her head, easily identified by them to be the Disney character ‘Moana’. She was very sweet, patient and gave her all to make the girls feel special.
It was Suri’s turn for hair, nails and ‘child friendly’ makeup with permission of the parent and kid’s choice of character. Suri choose Elsa from Frozen and couldn’t be more excited receiving the treatment while seeing and experiencing the transformation. When she was done, Moana guided her up to the stage to sing with the other kids, microphone in hand and background music playing. The ‘No Kid Left Behind’ saying really applies to this place, since all enjoy the kind attention, positive energy and sheer joy offered throughout.
Suri also made her own crown and to top it all off was offered a high tea, munching on cupcakes and other snacks from the comfort of a high golden queens throne.
This is easily a place to recommend for a kids birthday party, since it is original and guarantees a highly memorable experience for you children whom will for sure be appreciative to you taking them there. My daughter kept reminding me for at least a week after the event, how much she enjoyed it and if we could please return one day. And so it will be.
Thank you Miss OohLaLa!
